A Series of Unfortunate Events is exactly what happens in the book series, A Series of Unfortunate Events. All I can say from reading the series is that I am glad I'm not one of the Baudelaire Orphans.

This book tells the story of the Baudelaire Children (Claus, Violet, and Sunny the infant) who live in a mansion happily with there Mom and Dad. On a rather Unfortunate day (lots of Unfortunate stuff happens) their mansion is consumed in a fire as they are at the beach. Their dear old Mum and Pop are consumed in the fire as well. So they are sent to their Uncle, Count Olaf.(The tall sinister looking man) He immediately sets them to work repairing his broken down house. Soon it becomes apparent that he wants their huge fortunate. They can't have it untill Violet becomes 18. Count Olaf tries to force Violet to marry him through a clever sheme because the husband inherits the money. They foil his plan, but just as the police arrive, Count Olaf and his gang dissapear. The ending of the book shows them being taken to their Uncle Monty who (if read the next book) is much more pleasent. But the Count is still after them. Ba-ba-BAAAA!
