Because of Time (ha-ha) I have decided to do my Mystery report on this instead of Sherlock Holmes because I have read this and not Sherlock Holmes. Not to say that I won't finish the Holmes one, I'm just using this book for my school grade because we get out of school June 18th and today is the 8th so I'm just going to turn this one in instead.

It was dark and stormy night... Let's cut to the chase. The main character is Meg Murry, a twelve year old girl who's biggest problem is being made fun of at school and people making fun of her little five year old brother. (Charles Wallace because of their belief that he is dumb which untrue seeing that he is incredibly smart not just for his age but for anybody he is like mini Einstein) The story opens with Meg thinking to herself in her attic bedroom as a huge storm is currently underway. The storm is very strong. Her father (we find) has been gone a long time. (A year or so) Soon during this odd night a mysterious stranger named Mrs. Whatsit comes to their house. Mrs. Whatsit talks to Mrs. Murry after a while Whatsit leaves. The next day Meg and Charles Wallace meet Calvin O'Keefe. (who is destined to become their best friend, a key character, and supposedly Meg's love interest) Soon enough the trio of children meet Mrs. Whatsit's friends Mrs. Who and Mrs. Which. They soon whisk the children on an adventure across our universe both known and unknown by man. They land on a planet for rest where they discover a magical group of centaur like creatures. Mrs.Whatsit transforms into one of them, but soon turns back into her regular old self. The three women soon show the trio of children a gigantic black "thing" that  is in outer space and consumes planets. (doesn't eat them, just... well you'll see) They soon make a stop on the planet where only one person lives, the Happy Medium. (by tessering there which is wrinkling time, going through time and space using the fifth dimension)They find her cave and get advice from her a meet with her. After they leave they travel to the fallen planet of Camazotz to find their father and stop the evil black thing. (fallen as in consumed by the black thing and they get there by tessering) The three ladies say that the children must accomplish the feat on their own. Soon the three kids head off for town. They soon discover that anyone and everyone here is expected to be EXACTLY THE SAME!!! As in you have to everything everyone else does, their lives are timed in a rhythm! For example every building looks the same, every kid is bouncing their ball or jumping their rope at the same pace! And when one child accidentally messes up on this perfect beat, he is dealt with harsh punishment. They make their way to the CENTRAL Central Intelligence building where there father is kept. Unfortunately on the way Charles Wallace gets controlled by IT and becomes like every person who lives on Camazotz. After freeing her Father, Meg gets taken by guards along with Calvin and her Dad under orders by Charles. When brought in front of IT.(an evil brain who is one and the same as the black thing) Charles who is under the control of IT tries to get Calvin, Meg, and Mr. Murry under IT's control as well. Soon in a last ditch effort to save Meg and Calvin, Mr. Murry tessers (which he is not yet that good at) to a planet (he doesn't know where he went) that is filled with kind and gentle beasts. Because Meg froze on the tessering trip the creatures heal her. One named Aunt Beast is particularly fond of Meg. Soon Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which arrive at the planet. They tell Meg that she is the only one who can stop IT and save Charles. They let Meg say her goodbyes, which include a hug from Aunt Beast, a kiss from Calvin, a hug from her father, and luck from all three women. But Mrs. Whatsit say that her love and hope is with Meg. Mrs. Which tells Meg that there is one thing she has that IT does not. She then tessers Meg to Camazotz. She makes her way to IT. As IT begins to take control of her she realizes the one thing she has that IT does not, Love. She uses this love to defeat IT by saying she loves Charles her baby brother and it frees Charles and she and Charles are tessered to their yard along with the others and her mother and other brothers run outside to them. The thing is they arrived in a time just minutes after they left. Their Mom is happily reunited to their Dad. Meg notices the three women are looking like they are about to leave here is exactly the last words:

Mrs. Whatsit said breathlessly, "Oh, my darlings, I'm sorry we don't have time to say good-bye to you properly. We see, we have to--" But they never learned what is was that Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which had to do, for there was a gust of wind, and they were gone. The End.
